This Position reports to:
Engineering Manager What you'll do: You will be the design authority for the engineering discipline. You will complete assignments on multiple projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also ensure assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.This role is:
onsite in our Auburn Hills, MI headquarters.Main duties include:
Translating customer needs into executable technical solutions and system architectures, balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and longterm supportability. Providing technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and commissioning. Proactively identifying risks and improvement opportunities while driving corrective actions to ensure reliable, highquality system delivery. Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects. Qualifications You are highly skilled with structured text & ladder logic, HMI/SCADA development, electrical schematic design, system integration, functional safety and the advanced automation, robotics market. You have 8+ years of experience in controls engineering, industrial automation, electrical system design, or mechatronic systems designing robotic cells, motion control systems, power distribution panels, safety systems or custom machinery for customers. You are adept in PLC programming using Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical. You showcase problem solving and system-level thinking as well as crossfunctional collaboration and technical leadership in a global setting. Bachelor's degree and 8+ or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Associates and 10+ equivalent or high school diploma and 12+ equivalent relative years experience. You are at ease communicating in professional-level English across multiple countries. You are authorized to work in the United States. What's in it for you?
