In this paid role, you will lead and inspire students through hands-on robotics activities, guiding them to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise. Your enthusiasm and leadership will foster a vibrant learning environment where creativity and collaboration thrive. Duties Plan, organize, and facilitate VEX Robotics team practices and competitions for students of various ages and skill levels Teach fundamental robotics concepts including design, engineering principles, programming, and troubleshooting using VEX robotics kits Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students Supervise children during activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Coordinate with school staff, parents, and community partners to support student engagement in robotics programs Foster youth development by encouraging teamwork, leadership skills, and perseverance through project-based learning Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or camp settings is highly desirable Prior experience working on VEX platform and VEX competition Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of youth Knowledge of STEM education principles, especially related to robotics or engineering projects Experience facilitating youth group activities or extracurricular programs in outdoor or indoor environments Previous involvement in youth programs teaching or coaching robotics, tutoring, theater arts or childhood development is advantageous Join us as a VEX Robotics Coach and be part of an exciting journey that empowers students to explore technology while developing essential life skills!
