Job Description

Robotics Systems Engineer (Travel Required) Join an innovative, enterprise-level team supporting mission-critical capital projects. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics Systems Engineer to lead the deployment, operation, and maintenance of a large-scale transportation inspection vision system. This role contributes to ongoing system enhancements and future initiatives involving advanced camera technologies and automation. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, modify, and implement software applications. Install, support, and maintain software applications and operating systems. Participate in testing activities, including reviews, analysis, and test witnessing. Certify software for quality, reliability, and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and project objectives. Troubleshoot and resolve software and system issues. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices. This is a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension. The role is hybrid with 30-40% travel to sites across the Eastern U.S. Candidates must reside in the Atlanta area. All travel expenses are covered. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing enterprise team. Required Skills 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering with coding responsibilities. Degree or equivalent experience in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Electrical Engineering. Strong foundation in circuits, sensors, and power distribution. Hands-on hardware and field equipment troubleshooting experience. Practical coding skills (Python and/or C++ preferred). Experience with automation, data acquisition, or embedded systems. Understanding of signal integrity and EMI considerations. Ability to support hardware bring-up, wiring, testing, and component-level debugging. Comfortable working both in the field and in code (scopes/meters and utility scripts). Preferred Skills Military experience. Dual Computer/Electrical Engineering background. Experience supporting or installing inspection portals. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available. #LI-Hybrid
