Robotics & Engineering Instructor•Shape Innovators at Houston Christian High School Our growing Robotics and Engineering program is seeking a passionate instructor to lead our students into the future of technology.Opportunity:
Are you a dynamic and innovative educator with a passion for robotics and engineering? We're seeking a dedicated Robotics and Engineering Instructor to join our team for the 2026-27 academic year. This role offers the chance to build and expand our program, teach a variety of engineering and robotics courses, and inspire the next generation of engineers and technologists. Additional courses will be added to create a full-time position.Why This Role Matters:

Play a key role in shaping and growing our Robotics and Engineering program, influencing curriculum and project direction.Hands-On Learning:
Guide students through the design, construction, and programming of robots and engineering projects, fostering practical skills and creativity.Real-World Applications:

Explore the ethical and societal implications of technology, providing students with a holistic understanding of engineering and robotics.Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging and rigorous robotics and engineering curriculum, incorporating design thinking and project-based learning. Teach courses in areas such as robotics programming, mechanical design, electronics, and engineering principles. Additional courses will be added to create a full-time position. Organize and lead robotics competitions and engineering challenges, fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills. Maintain and manage the robotics and engineering lab, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment. Mentor and advise students on engineering projects and career pathways in STEM fields. Utilize industry-standard software and hardware to enhance instruction, including CAD software and robotics platforms. Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate robotics and engineering concepts into other subject areas. Contribute to the school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering tools. Experience with robotics platforms (e.g., VEX, FIRST Robotics) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
