• 30/hour About the Role Magikid Robolab Bellevue is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and engaging STEM & Robotics Instructor to teach VEX robotics programs at our Bellevue robotics lab and at local elementary schools.

Our programs provide hands-on learning experiences that help students develop engineering, coding, problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork skills through robotics. This position will primarily work with elementary students using VEX GO and VEX IQ . We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, is comfortable with technology and engineering concepts, and can create a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to build, experiment, troubleshoot, and think independently. Previous VEX experience is a plus, but not required. Training and curriculum will be provided. Responsibilities Teach VEX GO and VEX IQ robotics classes at our Bellevue lab Teach robotics afterschool programs at local elementary schools Guide students through robot building, engineering design, programming, testing, and troubleshooting Explain technical and engineering concepts in an age-appropriate and engaging way Encourage students to think independently and develop their own solutions rather than simply giving them answers Adapt instruction and challenges for students with different ages, experience levels, and learning speeds Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment Prepare robotics equipment and materials before class and organize them afterward Monitor student progress and communicate relevant observations with the Magikid team Follow Magikid curriculum and lesson objectives while adapting instruction based on student needs Collaborate with other instructors and staff Assist with camps, workshops, open houses, and other STEM programs as opportunities arise Qualifications Required Strong interest or background in robotics, engineering, computer science, STEM education, or a related field Comfortable learning and teaching basic mechanical building and programming concepts Enjoys working with children and can communicate clearly and patiently Responsible, dependable, organized, and punctual Able to manage a group of elementary students in a classroom setting Willing to learn new robotics platforms, curriculum, and teaching methods Able to work independently after training Reliable transportation and ability to travel between our Bellevue lab and partner schools in the Eastside area Available during at least some weekday afternoon/afterschool hours and Sundays Preferred Previous experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or working with elementary students Experience with

VEX GO, VEX IQ, FIRST

robotics, or other educational robotics platforms Familiarity with block-based programming such as Scratch or VEXcode College coursework or a degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, education, or another STEM-related field Experience with afterschool programs, enrichment classes, camps, or other youth programs Previous professional teaching experience is not required . Candidates with a strong technical foundation, good communication skills, and enthusiasm for working with children are encouraged to apply. Most teaching hours are during:

Weekday afternoons and evenings School afterschool hours Weekends Schedules can be arranged based on instructor availability and class assignments. Additional hours may be available through school programs, camps, workshops, special events, and other Magikid programs. Compensation $24

• 30 per hour , depending on teaching experience, technical background, and relevant robotics experience.

Magikid Robolab Bellevue 3921 Factoria Square Mall SE Bellevue, WA 98006 and at partner schools throughout the Bellevue/Eastside area. Reliable transportation is required for instructors assigned to school-based programs. Our students progress from introductory robotics to increasingly sophisticated building and programming challenges using platforms including VEX GO and VEX IQ.
