Contract Title:
Robotics Operations & Deployment Technician Location:
Mountain View, CA (Onsite)
Duration:
1-1.5 Months (Includes paid onboarding/training and post-event analysis)
Shifts Available:
Morning (~7 AM start) OR Afternoon/Evening (To support global time zones) About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Robotics Operations Specialist to bridge the gap between physical hardware and cloud deployment. This isn't a passive lab job—you will actively manage robotic workcells, sideload cutting-edge AI models, and act as the technical lifeline for ~10 engineering teams competing globally. If you love Linux, live container management, and aren't afraid to open up a machine and swap a network card, this project is for you.
What You'll Do Monitor & Manage:
Oversee live robotic workflows, managing apps running directly on the hardware.
Deploy AI Models:
SSH into Linux systems to install, sideload, and configure software and AI models. Maintain the
Workcell:
Physically adjust objects in the robot workspace, troubleshoot hardware issues, and replace components (e.g., network cards, task board parts).
Live Event Support:
Coordinate with global engineering teams via chat, starting/stopping runs and providing real-time technical troubleshooting.
Document & Stream:
Set up cameras to record and stream live robot operations for evaluation.
What You Bring The Basics:
Solid experience operating or monitoring physical robotic/automated systems safely.
The OS:
Proficiency with the Linux command line, remote access via SSH, and light scripting.
The Tech Stack:
Confident using Docker (images, volumes, containers) and a solid grasp of Kubernetes fundamentals (Pods, Deployments, Services).
The Tools:
Ability to follow complex technical documentation and manually troubleshoot/replace PC/networking hardware components.
Bonus Points:
Familiarity with ROS2 , Python, or C++.
