Industrial Robotics Technician Zing Recruiting - 3.9 Auburn Hills, MI Job Details Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Computer operation Chemical handling safety procedures Computer literacy Safety regulations Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Energy control procedures Shop math Electrical safety procedures Mechanical drawings Machine operation safety procedures Power tools Hand tools Hazardous energy control Full Job Description Summary Hands?on role building, assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting industrial robots and related equipment using electrical, mechanical, and basic programming skills. Key Responsibilities Assemble and modify robotic systems using prints, schematics, and work instructions. Install and secure robots and components according to engineering layouts. Move and teach robots using a teach pendant, including simple path teaching. Load, upgrade, and back up robot software. Perform functional testing based on engineering or manufacturing test plans. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Prepare systems for shipment including disassembly and packaging. Operate shop equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and pallet movers. Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and hazardous material handling. Minimum Skills & Experience At least one year experience in robotics, automation, electrical assembly, or similar technical work. Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings (higher levels require full independent interpretation). Proficiency with hand/power tools and basic diagnostic equipment. Basic computer skills and ability to follow digital work instructions. Basic math and measurement skills. Understanding of safety standards (LOTO, hazardous materials, general industrial safety). Physical & Work Environment Lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tool use. Work in a shop environment with occasional travel or off?site assignments. Overtime based on production needs.
