Maintenance Technician - Robotics & Automation | Multiple Openings | Lansing, MI Area Robotics. Automation. High-volume manufacturing. We're partnered with several advanced manufacturing employers in the Lansing area who are actively hiring Maintenance Technicians with strong experience in robotics and automation .These roles support high-volume, automated production environments -including stamping, welding, and assembly operations-and are well-suited for technicians who enjoy working with industrial robots and complex automated systems. What These Roles Typically Involve Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery, automated equipment, and electrical systems Troubleshoot and repair robotic cells and automated production equipment , with a heavy focus on Fanuc industrial robots Perform robot tasks such as touching up robot points, homing robots, adjusting paths, and moving spot welds Support robotic spot welding operations and automated material handling systems Troubleshoot I/O (inputs and outputs) in robotic and automation systems Perform PLC troubleshooting to resolve automation and control issues impacting production Support electrical work on systems up to 400 VAC and high-amperage applications Work with pneumatics and hydraulics used in presses, weld cells, and related equipment Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability Document repairs, modifications, and maintenance activity Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and electrical standards Skills & Experience Employers Are Seeking Hands-on experience troubleshooting Fanuc industrial robots in a production environment Ability to safely home robots , touch up points, and adjust robot paths Experience working with robotic welding systems Solid understanding of robot I/O and automation controls Electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial setting Experience performing PLC troubleshooting (programming exposure is a plus) Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced manufacturing environments Preferred (Varies by Opening) Experience in stamping, welded assembly, or high-volume manufacturing Exposure to robot or PLC programming for process improvements Experience in automation, robotics, or advanced maintenance roles Willingness to support overtime or off-shift work as needed by production Why Consider These Opportunities? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
