JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Robotics Instructor teaches non-credit courses; delivering robotics instruction and hands-on experience with various robots. This position will plan and teach robotic lessons, facilitating student learning and oversee hands-on learning, while managing classroom behavior.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Provides instruction and hands-on experience with robots to students in afterschool program classrooms. Plans and instructs robotic lessons, incorporating various teaching styles to align with learning styles. Facilitates student learning, oversees hands-on learning, manages classroom behavior. Attend work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of the different aspects of Robotics to include computer programming and robotic construction. Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other college supported systems. Excellent communication skills including active listening. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent skill in patience and energy when engaging with students. Ability to reinforce safety rules and procedures. Ability to be flexible and pivot based upon the students' learning styles. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-orientated environment. Ability to demonstrate cooperation and professionalism while maintaining patience and understanding in stressful situations. Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
HS degree required at least one year of College 2 years of experience in Robotics. Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
