Medical, Dental, Vision; PTO; 401(k); Career Growth Opportunities About the Opportunity An organization is seeking an Engineering Designer to support electric distribution design projects, with a focus on utility-driven work such as green power and service extensions. This role involves working from approved engineering packages to develop and complete design deliverables for overhead and underground distribution systems. Job Duties
  • Design overhead and underground electric distribution systems within existing utility infrastructure.
  • Develop designs based on approved engineering packages and ensure completion for QA/QC review.
  • Utilize MicroStation to create and modify distribution design drawings.
  • Interpret and apply utility standards and design requirements.
  • Analyze pole framing diagrams, clearances, tensions, and deflection angles.
  • Support projects related to green power connections and utility upgrades.
  • Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical distribution design.
  • Experience with MicroStation required.
  • Strong understanding of overhead and underground distribution systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, pole framing details, and system requirements.
  • Knowledge of utility standards (Exelon/BGE experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within established QA/QC processes.
