Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a Solar Quality & Performance Inspector to support the review, inspection, and performance evaluation of utility-scale and commercial solar PV systems. This individual will work closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure projects are installed and operating to the highest quality standards. This role requires travel throughout the East Coast (up to 25%) to support site inspections, commissioning activities, and troubleshooting efforts. Responsibilities Review solar PV system designs, drawings, and engineering documentation. Conduct site inspections and audits of operating solar and energy storage facilities. Evaluate electrical, structural, and installation quality of PV systems. Analyze operational and performance data to identify and troubleshoot issues. Review commissioning reports, test results, and system performance metrics. Perform thermal imaging, insulation resistance testing, and field inspections. Support engineering and inspection partners throughout project execution. Review PV production models, including PVSyst and Helioscope. Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and industry best practices. Requirements Experience in solar design, construction, quality assurance, O&M, or inspections. Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, low-voltage, and medium-voltage drawings. Familiarity with central and string inverters, SCADA/DAS, and communication systems. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Teams, Smartsheet, Procore, or Monday.com. Clean driving record and willingness to travel throughout the East Coast. Preferred Qualifications Utility-scale solar experience. Knowledge of PV production modeling software such as PVSyst or Helioscope. Experience with commissioning, testing, and performance analysis. Familiarity with electrical safety procedures and industry standards.
Pay:
$130,870.95 - $140,115.95 per year
