Job Description Position Overview As a Manager, Renewable Engineering (Solar), you will lead a team that performs engineering activities for utility scale solar projects throughout the United States. The role will support opportunities sourced through the Origination team and the Renewable Energy Development team. This position will be located at Invenergy's downtown Chicago, IL office. Invenergy follows a hybrid schedule, working in office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays. Responsibilities Support the Origination and Development teams in customer meetings and with engineering deliverables for proposal development for utility scale solar projects. Identify, hire, onboard and train new solar engineers to support the growth of the company Manage a regional solar project engineering team with focus on critical issues including system design, energy assessment, risk analysis and other duties as required to support the development, design and construction of utility scale solar energy plants Work collaboratively with the Development, Origination, Pre-Construction, Project Management, Procurement, Environmental, Legal, Regulatory and other teams to support solar project development, engineering and construction Work collaboratively Project Management, Procurement, Project Electrical Engineering and Operations teams leading up to and through project commercial operations. Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, state and local officials, industry associations and other stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering required 5+ years of engineering experience Up to 25% travel will be required Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the solar energy field Masters in engineering is a plus Experience in leading an engineering group 7+ years professional experience preferred Strong engineering organizational, networking, leadership, and time management skills Ability to accommodate travel some travel domestically (not more than 25%) Base Pay $135,000.00 - $165,000.00
