Description Summary:

Greentech Renewables is a solar equipment distributor and distributes a full range of solar equipment to thousands of contractors throughout the United States, Caribbean, and Latin America, enabling solar installers to easily and cost-effectively design, sell, and install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Specification Specialist to serve as the trusted technical resource supporting consulting engineers, owner's engineers, and specifiers by providing product expertise, code awareness, equipment application guidance, and specification support while respecting the engineer's design authority.

Director of Engineering Minimum Qualifications:

Electrical engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent field experience Solar and energy storage expertise Understanding NEC, utility interconnection, and BESS applications Strong ability to communicate with engineers (Proven track record of helping engineers make informed decisions while never replacing the engineer's professional judgment)

Preferred Qualifications:

Deep knowledge of Solar PV Battery Energy Storage Systems Inverters PCS platforms EV charging Switchgear Transformers Utility interconnection equipment Micogrids Controls and EMS platforms

Working Conditions:

Remote work on a small team, with multiple weekly check-ins Frequent travel to build relationships Work standard business hours of 8am to 5pm within your time zone or within the time zone of the Division assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Engineering Engagement Explain technology tradeoffs. Provide product comparisons. Discuss system architectures and applications. Support feasibility discussions. Specification Support Assist with Division 26, 33, and 48 specification language. Review equipment requirements. Provide product cutsheets and technical data. Supply compliance documentation. Support FEOC and cybersecurity information requests. Coordinate manufacturer engineering resources. Design Assistance Discuss solar and BESS system concepts. Provide application recommendations. Assist with equipment selection strategies. Support resiliency and microgrid discussions. Provide constructability feedback. Manufacturer Coordination Coordinate engineering reviews. Manage factory resources. Track emerging technologies. What This Role Does NOT Do Stamp drawings. Act as engineer of record. Approve designs. Perform final engineering calculations. Veteran Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $100000 to $110000 annually.
