Responsibilities:
Provide risk- and economics-based design principles to guide conceptual design for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects; Develop conceptual layouts, evaluate site suitability, and review site access and constructability based on survey, geotechnical, hydrological, and environmental inputs; Work cross-functionally with internal teams and third-party consultants to integrate technical studies, permitting requirements, and development constraints; Manage third-party consultant scope, schedule, deliverables, and quality to ensure development milestones are achieved; Leverage solar and energy storage performance models to optimize solar, solar-plus-storage, and standalone storage facilities; Communicate project risks and provide technical documentation and design summaries to internal and external stakeholders. Up to 15% domestic travel required.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in solar, storage, or infrastructure design, including civil or electrical design considerations.
Must also possess:
2 years of experience using design or analysis software such as AutoCAD, PVCase, ArcGIS, Google Earth, or similar platforms and 2 years of experience coordinating with consultants or technical teams to address project risks, permitting requirements, and constructability considerations.
