Job Title:
Survey Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Survey Technician to support a Google data center campus project located in Mesa, AZ. The successful candidate will work onsite, contributing to the precision and accuracy of surveying activities essential for the project's success. Responsibilities Understand the objectives of the site survey and provide horizontal and vertical control using Trimble GPS. Participate in basic layout and field engineering activities, including establishing control lines from control points, laying out foundations, vertical formwork such as columns and walls, and establishing elevation control points. Layout decks, deck edges, required embeds, block-outs, and other contractual requirements. Assist in the performance of various surveying activities and provide clerical support and documentation of engineering tasks. Ensure proper usage and storage of all surveying equipment. Contribute to team efforts by completing related assignments as needed. Work during inclement weather and be exposed to extreme conditions and construction site noise and dust. Complete and document as-builts per company standards. Manage document control by ensuring all onsite drawings include the latest updates and changes. Track Requests for Information (RFIs) and generate RFIs that differ from architectural drawings. Oversee field layout and construction survey activities. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in field engineering/layout. Proficient in reading and understanding contract drawings, including structural and architectural documents, with the ability to cross-check between them. Ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of construction field engineering from pre-construction to completion. Proficient with Trimble GPS, RTS, and construction management. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma required. Possess OSHA 10 certification. Construction surveying experience, including structural steel and concrete, as well as clash detection. Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening and BGC. Reliable vehicle and residency in the east valley. Work Environment The position is onsite at the Google MSA project in Mesa, AZ, located off Sossaman and Elliot. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime on Saturdays. The role may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions and construction site elements. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
