Job Description

CVL Consultants is a locally owned collaborative design firm comprised of civil engineers, hydrologists, planners, landscape architects, and surveyors. Our diverse work portfolio includes master planned communities, urban infill development, high-end retail, hospitality and resort development, and public parks. We have an opportunity for you to join our firm, supporting the team in a wide variety of land surveying projects for land development. The successful land survey technician will have a minimum of 2 years' experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. This is a great opportunity for a survey technician to further their experience at a premier design firm and work on notable projects. Responsibilities Verify accuracy of field survey data including measurements and calculations conducted on survey projects. Reduce field data and produce surfaces and contouring. Search public records to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed. Prepare metes and bounds Legal Descriptions of property or subject areas for use in deeds, easements or other legal documents. Read, decipher and draft easements from Title Reports. Perform quality control checks of plats and drawings prepared by other technicians. Produce CAD drawings to include boundary surveys, topographic surveys and
ALTA/NSPS
land title surveys. Requirements High School diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years' survey tech experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and preparing plats, easements and topographic surveys. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Solid listening, writing and verbal communications skills. Ability to take direction, work independently, and work well with a team. Knowledge of land surveying techniques, principles and standards. Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) preferred but not required.
