Job Description

The MicroStation Survey Technician supports land surveying and civil engineering teams by producing highquality survey deliverables for public infrastructure projects. This role focuses on officebased survey drafting, data processing, and plan preparation using MicroStation and related survey software. The position works closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely project delivery. Key Responsibilities Prepare rightofway plans, boundary plats, exhibits, and survey deliverables Develop topographic mapping and digital terrain models for public projects Reduce and process survey field data Perform records research and compile siterelated information Work within the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) and applicable survey standards Ensure compliance with title commitments, easements, boundary standards, and municipal submittal requirements Coordinate with surveyors and project teams to support plan production Maintain organized and accurate drafting files and documentation Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of land surveying experience in an office environment Proficiency with MicroStation Experience using OpenRoads or InRoads Working knowledge of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) Familiarity with boundary surveys, easements, and rightofway documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred Qualifications Associates degree in Land Surveying or a related field LSIT (Land SurveyorinTraining) certification Experience producing deliverables for public agency projects Work Environment Officebased position supporting public infrastructure and surveying projects Collaborative environment with surveyors, engineers, and CAD staff Emphasis on accuracy, quality control, and meeting submittal deadlinesBenefitsVacation/PTOMedical & Dental - Company pays 100% of employeeVisionBonus - Competitive based on company/department/individual performance401K with company matching
