Operation of all conventional and GPS surveying equipment. Serve as Field-Lead and demonstrate responsible charge for all types of Field Surveys with minimal oversight. Organize and coordinate the work of field staff on select projects. Mentor, supervise and manage field duties of junior field staff. Participate in the project meetings with clients, and represent the firm on site. Maintain familiarity with currently accepted standards and methods of survey. Coordinate and perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance. Attend jobsite specific safety training provided at client site. Read & understand plans and specifications Reduce and adjust field collected electronic files into Autodesk Civil 3D (CAD) produced drawings. May reduce & extract LiDAR data. Prepare plans and maps for various types of surveys in AutoCAD with supervision. Analyze and compute boundary records in support of Licensed staff. Provide accurate computation for layout on select projects under direction of Licensed staff. Provide assistance to Licensed staff in the preparation of reports/findings, plans, and other contract documents. Assist in the preparation of project/task work plans. Associates Degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience. 5+ years of experience OSHA 10 hours of safety certification required, HAZWOP 24 or 40 hours and Roadway Worker helpful. NPS certification desired. CST preferred. Proficient various data techniques and coding systems. Demonstrates the ability to use AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center and/or Bentley Microstation and related software to prepare basic plans and computations. Advanced knowledge of operation for various surveying instruments, techniques, and computations. Demonstrates an understanding for the application of remote sensing techniques, including Terrestrial and Mobile LiDAR & Photogrammetry is preferred. Advanced understanding of angular and linear measurement systems Valid drivers' license required and ability to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
