Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a CAD Technician/Permitting Coordinator to sit in Lutz, FL (north Tampa area), interest in the electrical utilities engineering industry. Looking for a candidate with CAD/AutoCAD experience, who wants to learn permitting! Will be fully
ONSITE/IN-OFFICE, NOT REMOTE.
This a 4 month contract-to-hire, meaning you will be converted full time (which includes PTO, Holiday Pay, etc.) after 4 months!
Job Summary:
The primary duty of the Permitting Coordinator is to perform permitting of all accounts in local area (also covers the state of FL). Will be responsible for checking accuracy and creating permitting documents. The documents are used for ROW access so that the company can park their vehicles on the land that belongs to the county and city to survey the utility poles. CAD/AutoCAD experience required, which will be utilized in the permit process.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to work 40 hours a week, typical daytime hours in Tampa, FL - NOT
PART TIME OR HYBIRD/REMOTE
Associates Degree or higher plus 1+ year relevant professional work experience; OR High School Diploma plus 4+ years of relevant professional work experience Minimum 1-2 years of AutoCAD (or similar comparable CAD program) Any prior permitting related experience is desired (within utilities, construction, telecom, etc.) but will be trained on company-specific permitting processes! Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Interest in working in the power utilities and/or engineering industries desired, will be trained!

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
