A Surveying or Mapping Technician works with surveyors and cartographers to gather data and create maps. Visits sites and records survey measurements and descriptive data. Selects data needed to create maps, including photos, aerial photos and satellite information, and helps produce and update maps that show boundaries or topographical information.

Job Description

Process survey field data using Trimble Business Center (TBC)
Create and update survey drawings within AutoCAD Civil 3D
Develop 3D site models and survey deliverables
Validate incoming survey data for accuracy and completeness
Coordinate with field surveyors and project managers

2-3+ years of survey-related CAD experience
Hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience processing survey data within Trimble Business Center (TBC)
Background supporting surveying projects, not strictly civil engineering design work
Experience converting field survey data into final deliverables and drawings
Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis
Previous field surveying experience
Experience with construction staking layouts
Drone, photogrammetry, or LiDAR exposure
Strong understanding of survey workflows from field collection through final deliverables
Open to relocation
