Overview:
This position provides experienced technical and office support for survey projects with complex deliverables while mentoring team members.
Responsibilities:
Lead technical survey tasks and mentor Survey Technician I and II team members. Prepare advanced-level drawings, calculations, and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D with minimal oversight. Conduct thorough reviews of deliverables for accuracy and completeness. Perform complex deed research and prepare detailed legal descriptions and plats. Coordinate with field crews to ensure data alignment and project accuracy. Develop and maintain databases of survey data with minimal supervision. Process and refine field data into polished survey deliverables for client or internal use.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent relevant experience. 3+ years of experience in a survey technician role. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with MicroStation is a plus. Ability to mentor junior staff. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proven ability to handle complex projects and adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision. Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed.
