This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors and utilize cutting-edge surveying technology to deliver accurate measurements and detailed land information. As a key contributor, you will support survey crews by collecting data, operating advanced equipment, and preparing detailed schematics that ensure project success from start to finish. Responsibilities Conduct land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying tools to gather accurate spatial data. Perform utility locating to identify underground infrastructure and prevent project delays or hazards. Collect and analyze data related to topography, boundaries, and existing structures for various civil engineering projects. Operate CAD software such as AutoCAD, and Carlson to draft detailed schematics, maps, and plans. Use GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping purposes. Assist with the setup and calibration of survey equipment, ensuring precision during data collection. Support construction teams by providing survey data that guides heavy lifting, excavation, and other site activities. Maintain detailed records of field measurements, sketches, and survey notes for project documentation. Perform routine maintenance on hand tools and electronic equipment to ensure optimal operation throughout fieldwork. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret survey results and prepare reports that support decision-making. Experience Previous experience in land surveying or civil engineering environments is highly preferred. Proficiency with survey instruments such as GPS units, total stations, 3D scanners, and related hardware. Strong knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math principles essential for accurate calculations. Familiarity with CAD software including AutoCAD, or Carlson is required. Experience with GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial data analysis is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent data collection skills combined with attention to detail for precise land surveying activities. Strong understanding of schematics and construction plans to support project execution effectively.
