About Dayton:
Dayton is a professional services company specializing in vibration, movement, and inspection data for the construction and engineering industries. We serve both private and public construction projects, offering reliable insights throughout the project lifecycle.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Survey Technician familiar with Total Stations to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have a strong work ethic, and thrive in outdoor environments. The position involves working at various construction sites and playing a key role in delivering Dayton's professional services. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred, as last-minute servicing may occasionally arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Start the day from Dayton's New Jersey location in Westampton. Review daily schedules and instructions from the project or regional manager. Install and collect settlement data with Total Station Survey Gun. Conduct onsite inspections of structures and buildings, upload and organize photos, and prepare corresponding reports. Ensure all reports are completed on time before the submission deadline. Prepare, install, service, or remove monitoring equipment as needed. Upload activity notes to Dayton's project management software for team collaboration. Perform physical labor, including: Lifting and transporting car batteries. Safely setting up and using ladders. Digging post holes. Using power tools such as drills and screw guns. Qualifications Total Station Survey Gun Experience, please do not apply without survey gun experience. Valid Driver's License (required) High School diploma or equivalent (required) Proficiency in English (required) Enjoy working outdoors Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand/power tools safely Basic computer skills
