Overview Our customer is seeking a Survey Technician to work directly under survey leadership and support the drafting, technical, legal, and data management aspects of survey operations. This role is responsible for preparing mapping deliverables, completing survey calculations, supporting field crews, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout project execution. Key Responsibilities Perform survey computations, easement calculations, and construction staking computations. Prepare survey data for field crews and collect field data as required. Draft maps including subdivision maps, parcel maps, and related survey exhibits. Create legal descriptions for property boundaries and easements. Utilize coordinates for search activities and construction staking. Conduct maps, deed, and property research. Work closely with engineering and survey teams to support budgets, proposals, and project deliverables. Maintain accurate survey documentation and technical records. Support quality assurance and project data accuracy requirements. All other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Strong competency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. 2+ years of experience using CAD in office and field land surveying environments. Experience processing field data. Experience preparing topographic and boundary surveys. Experience with horizontal and vertical alignments. Experience performing construction staking and survey calculations. Experience writing metes and bounds descriptions. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate survey documentation and field notes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish skills. Drone piloting experience. Experience with Trimble survey platforms. Experience with Carlson software. Work Environment / Travel / Schedule Combination of office and field-based responsibilities. Occasional courthouse research required. Occasional regional travel required. Compensation and Benefits $26.00-$28.00 per hour - DOE Medical, Dental, Vision Coverage, Supplemental Insurance through Aflac, & 401K plan.
