Field Mapping Technician

About the role:

This is a short-term contract driving position where you'll spend your days independently covering assigned roads in your city with our data collection sensor mounted to your vehicle. It's solo work, self-directed, and well-paid. If you like being on the road, working independently, and getting paid to drive, this is for you. What you'll do: Drive assigned road networks in your area collecting LiDAR and camera data Set up and operate our sensor equipment each day•we'll train you fully before you start Log your progress and flag any issues as they come up Work independently•no micromanagement, just you and the road This role is a great fit if you: Have a background or interest in GIS, mapping, surveying, data, or geospatial technology Are a recent graduate looking for paid hands-on field experience Are between roles and want a well-paid, purposeful short-term contract Are comfortable with technology and pick up new tools quickly Have a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record Reliable personal vehicle (mileage fully reimbursed) Ability to lift up to 30 lbs Basic comfort with technology•we'll train you on everything else What we offer: Competitive hourly pay Full mileage reimbursement•gas and wear-and-tear covered Contract length: typically 8-12 weeks depending on your project

Pre-Employment Requirements:

This position requires a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and background check prior to starting.
