Job Description

The Gateway Companies is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Land Survey Project Assistant in our Edmond, OK office. The successful candidate will receive training while supporting our surveyors and project team with land-record research, project coordination, utility locates, document preparation, and general project administration. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working with computers, and eager to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Basic title research for land survey:
  • Verifies ownership for parcels of interest
  • Secures copies of recorded documents from various public offices to assist Surveyors creating legal descriptions and exhibits Researching government land records Maintaining adequate survey supplies Organizing and distributing equipment Administrative Line locates Help organize and drive projects to completion:
  • OneCalls
  • Opening and keeping track of projects
  • Managing project management software and keeping it up to date Prepare spreadsheets and work with Excel formulas Set up meetings / keep notes as needed Help process improvements Other duties as assigned by supervisors Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Be an organized self-starter High attention to detail and organizational skills Must be flexible Knowledge of efficient office functions Experience with all Microsoft Office applications Ability to establish priorities and work without supervision Ability to lift 20 lbs Ability to sit for long periods of time Must be able to pass required drug test
Experience:
High School Diploma or any further education required College Degree preferred One year related administrative experience a plus
