Job Description

Job Overview Junior Survey CAD Technician/Draftsman will become an integral part of our team and work closely with a professional land surveyor, project managers and survey field crews. As a Junior Survey CAD Technician, you will be assisting with review and drafting of survey field notes and survey data. This is a full time in office position with a relatively flexible schedule and possible work from home arrangements. This position has room for growth and advancement including taking more of a project management role. We are willing to provide hands on training to the best candidate!
Tasks:
Efficiently plan and prepare CAD drawings using AutoDesk Civil 3D and Carlson Survey for a broad range of projects including: topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary surveys, subdivision plats, construction staking surveys, and asbuilt surveys. Process and interpret survey data collected in the field. Perform research and gather information for legal and survey records and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed. Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records. Complete other office tasks as assigned. Work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment.
Specifications:
Degree or certificate in survey related field and/or formal AutoCAD training is preferred, but not required. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with Carlson Civil Software and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D is preferred. General knowledge of boundary, physical, topographic, condominium, and construction surveys. General knowledge of field survey equipment and procedures. Experience with Trimble Business Center is a plus but is not required. Any combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying.
