LiDAR Data Processor/ Civil 3D Pittsburgh, PA 6 DAYS AGO 22768651 Summary Pittsburgh, PA Hybrid $73000.00 - $93000.00 per Year 3 Years Experience Post-secondary academic degree, Associate degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description LiDAR Data Processer/Geospatial Technician Direct Hire Hybrid (Monday in office, Tuesday - Friday remote/work from home) We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented LiDAR Data Processor/Geospatial Technician to join a growing Survey and Geospatial team supporting transportation, utility, land development, and oil & gas projects. Duties Prepare survey plans, plats, as-built drawings, and mapping deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Process field data collected from total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, terrestrial laser scanners, and UAV/LiDAR platforms. Develop and maintain base maps, alignments, surfaces, and digital terrain models. Prepare boundary, topographic, right-of-way, construction layout, existing conditions, and pipeline alignment drawings. Perform quality control reviews to ensure drawings meet client and agency standards. Collaborate with survey field crews, Project Managers, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and keep projects moving forward. Organize and maintain project files and digital survey data. Support successful project delivery while meeting schedules and budgets. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field. 3 + years of office and/or field surveying experience. Must have AutoCAD Civil 3D. Understanding of land surveying principles, methods, and procedures. Experience processing survey data from total stations and
GPS/GNSS
equipment. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:
PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), or Oil & gas, pipeline, or utility projects. Trimble Business Center (TBC), OpenRoads Designer, or similar survey processing software. Terrestrial laser scanning, Mobile LiDAR, or Drone LiDAR data processing. Right-of-way plans, boundary surveys, and construction staking deliverables. PennDOT Digital Delivery standards and transportation survey workflows. Additional Details
