Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey / SUE CAD Technician to join our talented team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in CAD software and civil engineering design to support survey data processing, utility investigations, and construction documentation. Your work will be instrumental in delivering accurate survey deliverables and utility investigations that drive project success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and contribute to impactful infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Process subsurface utility data in accordance with industry standards Coordinate with survey crews, SUE field crews and project managers to meet client requirements and project deadlines Prepare and review project deliverables and SUE plan sets Monitor field crew production and data quality Provide technical support to project team members Perform additional responsibilities to support company's strategic goals Training of junior staff members Maintain organized CAD files, project documentation, and quality control procedures Requirements AutoCAD Civil 3D production and drafting Process collected SUE data in Trimble Business Center Developing utility base maps and SUE plan sheets Incorporating QL-B data and QL-A (test hole information) Preparing test-hole tables, utility inventories and exhibits. Interpreting utility records, field sketches, survey data and client base files. Understanding water, sanitary sewer, storm gas, electric and telecommunications infrastructure Surface feature identification and utility attribution Coordinate systems, datums, and survey control CAD standards, layers, linework, blocks, XREFs and file management QA/QC of survey and SUE deliverables Working directly with survey crews, SUE field crews and project managers Meeting client CAD standards and deadlines Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in drafting and modeling tasks Effective communication skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams Join us to be part of a forward-thinking company that values innovation, precision, and professional growth.
