Senior Survey Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Excels working in a team environment to produce survey documents meeting the project goals and objectives. 2. Prepares complete surveying documents for the project based on preliminary information provided by the Senior Project Manager/Coordinator with minimal supervision required. 3. Identifies potential conflicts, issues or other problems and develops solution recommendations to present to Senior Project Manager/Coordinator. 4. Independently researches and implements proper survey techniques, standards and requirements. 5. Thoroughly monitors and reviews own work for accuracy and completeness. 6. Utilizes project tools, such as standardized checklists, for each document to maximize quality assurance. 7. Works quickly and efficiently to maintain production goals and completes assignments on time. 8. Strives to continue learning new technologies and methods. 9. Assists with training new hires in Yellow Rose Mapping CAD Standards. 10. May be tasked with updating survey CAD base files, as needed. 11. May represent survey department in firm CAD committee meetings and coordinate with Department leaders on technical items. 12. May be responsible for updating survey 'go-by' documents, as needed. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Company Paid Medical Insurance Summary Description:
 Under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor, performs advanced surveying calculations and coordinates the submittal of survey documents for various civil engineering and land surveying projects using computer aided design/drafting software.
Minimum Experience/Skill Requirements:
1. Mastery of current versions of specialized land surveying necessary applications such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, Microstation and GeoPack. 2. Basic knowledge and understanding of GPS surveying tasks and Trimble Business Center Software. 3. Proficient with other widely used computer applications (i.e., Microsoft Office). 4. Basic knowledge and understanding of advanced surveying principles and procedures for land surveying and engineering surveying. 5. Able to perform basic boundary analysis and make recommendations to the Registered Professional Land Surveyor. 6. Basic knowledge of platting procedures and formats. 7. Able to read and understand various technical documents such as deeds, plats, easements, title reports and construction plans. 8. Able to prepare legal descriptions and survey plats with minimal supervision. 9. Able to prepare instructions for field construction staking. 10. Able to clearly communicate with co-workers, clients and review authority personnel. 11. Able to write basic reports and correspondence. 12. Minimum of ten (10) years experience as a Survey Technician (or equivalent).
