Texas - Austin, Dallas, San Antonio Join KFM Engineering & Design as a full-time, on-site Survey CAD Technician. In this role, you will support the field-to-finish survey process and assist with a variety of commercial and development projects across Texas, including Boundary Surveys, As-Builts utilizing Terrestrial Scanning, and site development projects. Responsibilities include property research, field crew preparation, survey computations, and drafting technical plans, 2D/3D models, and construction documents using Civil3D. You will work closely with survey crews, engineers, and project managers to deliver accurate, high-quality project deliverables. KFM Essential Responsibilities:
Provide accurate maps and information to field crews based on the specific requirements and scope of each project. Interpret and analyze survey-related materials such as deeds, plats, and title commitments to ensure precise and reliable data. Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and consistency across all projects. Utilization of survey line coding techniques to aid in drafting efficiently. Use Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center software for drafting, processing, and data analysis (experience with these platforms preferred). Integrate and apply data gathered from aerial and terrestrial LiDAR technologies to enhance survey accuracy and efficiency (familiarity with LiDAR systems preferred).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD in Land Surveying and Engineering. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule outside of standard weekday business hours, as needed to meet project deadlines and business needs. Learn more and follow all our firms below!
