Fields & Associates, Inc. (RCF) is an established Land Surveying and Civil Engineering firm specializing in engineering design, land development, and project management on a variety of construction projects in Northern Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland. Thanks to our growth, we are accepting resumes for a Field Survey Technician at our office in Alexandria, Virginia. As a member of our Land Surveying department, you will be involved with a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our well-established client base. The applicant will perform the daily operations of a survey field crew, including all tasks associated with the performance of boundary, topographic, control, and construction layout surveys. Position requires the ability to carry up to 50 pounds and someone who enjoys working outdoors. An understanding of construction plans and stakeout techniques is preferred but not required. Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record HS Diploma/GED Ability to carry up to 50 pounds Basic mathematical abilities Willingness and ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time, Knowledge in AutoCAD, Carlson, Civil3D, and/or Microsoft Office is a plus. Experience as either an Instrument Person or Party Chief performing ALTA/NSPS, boundary, and topographic surveying and construction staking desirable Strong listening and verbal communication skills
