Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Solar Inspection Tech/Site surveyor to join our growing team. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and making a real impact in the renewable energy industry, this could be the perfect fit for you. In this role, you'll travel between our service markets to meet with county and city inspectors to pass inspections for our customers. You'll also be gathering valuable information from new customers to help our engineers put together plans for new solar projects. Duties Occasionally assist Service Technicians perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar PV systems, including inverters and battery storage. Arrive at customers homes to meet with Inspectors. Inspect sites and systems to make sure everything meets safety and quality standards. Gather records of all work and system performance on existing systems. Work closely with our installation team and Service Team to provide assistance when needed. Stay up to date on solar technology and best practices. Overnight travel will be expected about 50% of the time. Experience High school diploma or equivalent (technical or electrical certifications are a big plus). 1-2 years of experience in solar installation or maintenance. Good understanding of electrical systems and NEC codes. NABCEP certification is a plus but not required. OSHA 10 certification preferred. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Great communication skills and a customer-first mindset. Construction experience is a bonus. Able to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working on rooftops, in all weather conditions, and at heights. Comfortable using ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
