Job Description:

Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a Senior Field Survey Technician to contribute to our projects on a full-time, direct basis in the Hampton Roads, VA area.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collecting field data necessary to design or construction Recording survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and inked tracings Completing land surveying computations for field surveys Responsible charge of a field crew Handling the preparation of construction cutsheets Reading construction plans Technical understanding of current survey field software If you can adapt well to new situations, are a team player and a problem solver that can work with a high level of accuracy we urge you to apply! Job Requirements 4-6 years of field experience Excel Math skills commensurate with field surveying This person will be expected to work in the field so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in field-based roles with physically-demanding tasks. Proficiency with relevant technologies / tools (e.g.: Total Stations, HDLS, GIS, etc.); experience with Leica Geosystems

HW & SW, RTS

(Robotic Total Stations), GPS, and/or Faro High-Definition Laser Scanning equipment is a plus! Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
