This opportunity is onsite in Sheridan, WY, United States. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about contributing to projects that shape communities. #LI-Onsite The Role The Land Survey Technician is responsible for conducting field surveys, collecting and validating data, and supporting mapping and reporting activities using GIS and CAD tools, while ensuring safety standards, proper equipment use, and availability for travel to project sites. Collect, process, and verify survey data for accuracy and completeness. Assist with mapping projects and prepare detailed survey reports. Operate GIS and CAD software to support project deliverables. Travel is required, including extended trips to project sites. Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols in all field operations. What makes you remarkable? Expected:
High school diploma or associate degree in surveying or a related field. Solid understanding of land surveying principles and practices. Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and terrain.
Desirable:
Professional certifications in surveying or related disciplines. Experience with oil well pad surveys and as-built surveys. Experience with GIS and CAD software. FAA remote drone pilots license and experience with drone surveying and photogrammetry, and lidar. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Technical proficiency with surveying instruments and software. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
