Job Description
Sigma Technologies, Ltd. seeks an OSP Field Designer to support telecom and utility infrastructure projects. In this role, you'll perform field walkouts, collect site data, and translate findings into accurate outside plant designs using AutoCAD and GIS tools. You'll prepare construction drawings, bills of material, and permitting packages while adhering to safety, quality, and client standards. Working closely with engineers and project managers in a collaborative, learning-focused environment, you'll help deliver precise, constructible designs that support broadband network expansion and utility upgrades. Responsibilities Conduct field walkouts and site surveys to collect OSP data for telecom and utility projects Develop accurate outside plant designs using Auto CAD and GIS tools Prepare construction drawings, bills of material, and work packages Support permitting by producing maps, route details, and documentation for utilities and municipalities Verify existing infrastructure, pole data, and right-of-way conditions Apply company, client, and industry standards to ensure safe, constructible designs Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to resolve design issues Maintain organized project records and update databases and GIS systems Required Skills OSP design Telecom network design Auto CADGIS mapping Reading construction plans Utility coordination Field surveying Permitting documentation Microsoft Excel Project documentation
