Full Job Description Qualifications :
The Fielder is responsible for performing on-site field data collection to support engineering and design efforts. This includes visiting residential and commercial properties, obtaining access to backyards when necessary, and documenting existing utility conditions such as poles, cables, and equipment. The ideal candidate is professional, courteous, and comfortable interacting with property owners or residents to gain access and gather accurate field information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Inspecting utility poles in the field Pole height and class GPS location Pole ownership Existing attachments and equipment Clearance measurements Pole condition Taking photographs and field notes Measuring attachment heights and span distances Identifying safety or clearance issues Supporting make-ready and joint-use engineering projects Uploading survey data into GIS or engineering systems Working with engineering teams to support pole loading analysis and fiber design Performing pole loading and wind load analysis Reviewing pole attachment capacity for fiber, telecom, CATV, or electric equipment Ensuring compliance with the GO95 and utility standards Designing make-ready engineering for new attachments Recommending pole replacements, guying, or reinforcement Creating engineering drawings and construction packages Conducting field surveys and validating pole data
