About the Role The GPS Soil Technician supports project accuracy and field efficiency by combining GPS field data collection with technical drafting and 3D modeling. This role works closely with engineers, surveyors, and field teams to produce reliable drawings and machine-control-ready models used directly in construction operations. . Responsibilities Collect and manage GPS field data for mapping, layout, and modeling Create and update construction drawings using AutoCAD and related software Convert 2D plans into 3D models for machine control and grading support Maintain accurate geospatial data and documentation Coordinate with engineering and field teams to align plans with site conditions Perform field verification and manage data delivery to field equipment Additional duties as assigned Qualifications Associate's degree in CAD or related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years in construction with ability to read engineering plans and reports 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Trimble Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable in a deadline-driven environment . .
