What they do
A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
Requirements of Survey Crew Chief:
Use and understand survey equipment such as total stations, GPS and data collectors Download and upload survey data to and from the office Read construction plans Locate property corners Communicate with project team including owners, managers, clients, and coworkers Perform work duties including but not limited to: digging holes for monuments, walking on rugged terrain, and obtaining invert information on utilitiesExperience :

2 years Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to work independently and balance the workload to accommodate demands of the job to exceed client expectations Bachelor's (Preferred)Benefits :
