Position Summary:
We are seeking a Survey Drafter to support land surveying projects by preparing accurate and detailed drawings using field data and survey records. This role works closely with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to produce plats, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction exhibits.
What You'll Do:
Prepare survey drawings, plats, and exhibits using AutoCAD or Civil 3D based on field notes and survey data Draft boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking plans Process and incorporate survey data from GPS, total station, and point cloud files Maintain drawing standards, layers, and file organization Revise plans based on redlines and quality control reviews Coordinate with surveyors and project teams to clarify data and resolve drafting issues Assist with the preparation of legal descriptions and easement exhibits as needed
Requirements:
Typically, 3+ years of experience in survey drafting (or related CAD drafting experience) Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D Understanding of land surveying principles, boundary concepts, and coordinate systems Ability to interpret field notes, legal descriptions, and survey records Strong attention to detail and time management skills Associate degree or certificate in drafting, surveying, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Experience with
ALTA/NSPS
surveys Familiarity with GIS, Trimble, Carlson, or Leica data formats Basic knowledge of civil engineering or land development plans
What We Offer:
We are targeting a base salary of $30.00 to $44.00, but it is determined by several factors, including education, experience, and a history of working in the Denver metro area. Medical insurance, including an HSA option Dental insurance Vision insurance Employer-paid life insurance
