City Surveyor
HIRING RANGE
$8,429-$9,486 per month. About the
Position:
The City of Grand Junction seeks a Professional Land Surveyor to join the Engineering Division. The position will perform a broad range of land surveying duties associated with supporting capital improvement projects, mapping, and development projects. The work will include a variety of field and office work to produce land surveying documents such as plats, exhibits, and legal descriptions, as well as review of survey documents for development projects.
What You'll Do:
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of assigned staff Perform a variety of complex, technical duties supporting the identification, sale, acquisition and management of real property Research and interpret land records, historical data and legal decisions to resolve land survey problems Prepare descriptions and sketches for City easements and rights-of-way Direct the preservation, maintenance and setting of survey monuments; monitor the staking on construction plans Oversee the gathering, processing and review of survey data for the City's GIS department Respond to inquiries from citizens, affected property owners and/or their representative Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives and priorities Prepare and maintain a variety of reports, records and logs To view the full job description, click HERE. What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in real estate, land surveying, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible real estate or land surveying experience Possession of a valid Colorado driver's license. Possession of a valid license as a Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Colorado Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
