Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

What to Expect
The Site Surveyor will be part of Tesla's Energy Operations team. As an integral member of the team, the ideal candidate will work cooperatively with other team members to successfully complete site surveys to support the installation of residential photovoltaic solar systems, battery storage, and EV wall connectors safely and on time. This candidate will be skilled, motivated, willing to learn, and reliable. It is often required for Surveyors to assist with Installation and/or other Tesla departments when available, including but not limited to: installing Solar Roof and/or PV, supporting warehouse order fulfillment, scheduling densification and supporting customer needs. What You'll Do
Assess job site conditions upon arrival
Measure roof planes, vents, dormers, and chimneys
Measure and access attic structures and conditions
Capture shade reading
Draw, document, and photograph roofs, attics and sites
Upload site assessment documentation into cloud storage with company software
Perform other tasks and duties as required What You'll Bring
Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry preferred
Showcase excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to safely handle power tools, hand tools, ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries and other similar electrical equipment
Excellent customer service, strong written and verbal communication, along with computer skills needed
Assist with Installation and/or other departments when available
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
Business needs may require travel to other operations centers for up to two weeks at a time. Must have compliant government issued identification for domestic air travel and/or to access certain federal facilities Compensation and Benefits
