Job Description

Tampa Civil Design is seeking a Florida-licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) to help lead our growing Survey Department. Our survey group primarily supports our civil engineering and land development projects throughout the Tampa Bay area. The position will focus heavily on design surveys and platting , with only limited construction staking. Typical work includes boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, tree and wetland location surveys, as-built surveys, right-of-way and easement surveys, legal descriptions and sketches, subdivision and commercial platting, and survey support for site development and permitting. Primary Responsibilities Perform and/or oversee boundary, topographic and design surveys for commercial and residential land development projects. Prepare and review subdivision plats, commercial plats, legal descriptions, sketches and easements. Coordinate closely with Tampa Civil's engineers and designers to provide accurate base survey information for site design. Review field data, survey calculations and CAD deliverables for accuracy and completeness. Perform limited construction layout and staking as needed. Construction staking is not the primary focus of this position. Research deeds, plats, right-of-way information and other public records. Coordinate field crews and survey production as necessary. Maintain survey work consistent with Florida Standards of Practice. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of land surveying experience preferred. Strong experience with boundary/topographic surveys, design surveys and platting . Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D preferred. Florida surveying and mapping experience strongly preferred. Valid driver's license. Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license is required
