Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead land surveying projects with precision and expertise, ensuring accurate data collection, mapping, and documentation for a variety of civil engineering and construction initiatives. Your expertise will help shape infrastructure development, land division, and property boundary determination, contributing to successful project outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply advanced surveying techniques, utilize cutting-edge technology, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment such as GPS systems, 3D scanners, and total stations to gather precise spatial data. Prepare detailed survey sketches, schematics, and reports utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson, and other CAD software tools. Perform complex calculations involving trigonometry, algebra, and geometry to determine land boundaries, elevations, and topographical features. Utilize GIS platforms like ArcGIS and ArcGIS Pro for spatial analysis and data visualization to support project planning and decision-making. Execute ALTA surveys for commercial properties and coordinate boundary surveys for residential or industrial developments. Manage data collection workflows efficiently during construction phases using Trimble and other survey-grade equipment. Collaborate with civil engineers and architects to develop accurate site plans, schematics, and construction layouts aligned with project specifications. Ensure all survey activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices while maintaining meticulous records. Lead the integration of new surveying technologies such as drones or laser scanning to enhance data accuracy and project efficiency. Experience Proven experience as a Licensed Land Surveyor or Licensed Surveyor in a professional setting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Extensive knowledge of land surveying principles including trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and civil engineering fundamentals. Hands-on experience operating GPS units (Trimble), 3D scanners, total stations, and other survey instrumentation. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson Software, and GIS platforms like ArcGIS. Familiarity with drafting schematics for construction plans and understanding of ALTA surveys and boundary resolution processes. Ability to interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately while applying surveying standards. Strong analytical skills combined with excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality data collection and documentation. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, contractors, and clients.
