Orlando / Central Florida Area / State Wide on Specific Projects (Some Travel Required) Are you a skilled construction professional with a passion for precision and getting it right the first time? We're looking for an experienced Field Construction Layout Surveyor to lead layout operations across multiple active construction projects. What You'll Do Lead and perform field layout for one or more active construction projects Ensure all layout is executed accurately and aligns with project plans and specifications Read and interpret complex construction documents, including: Civil and utility plans Architectural and structural drawings Mechanical plans and shop drawings Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to keep projects moving forward Identify and resolve layout challenges proactively in the field Maintain accurate records of layout work, adjustments, and revisions Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance on all job sites What We're Looking For Proven experience in construction layout surveying (Crew Chief or similar role) Strong working knowledge of construction types including: parking lots, roadways, drainage systems, utilities, bridges, and vertical construction Ability to confidently interpret and apply complex plans and specifications Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a field crew Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Problem-solver who can adapt quickly to changing site conditions Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred (but not required): Degree or formal training in surveying, geomatics, or related field Experience with modern survey equipment (e.g., GPS, robotic total stations)

Compensation & Travel Pay Range:

$30-$40 per hour (based on experience)

Travel:
