What they do
A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
Professional Survey & Mapper:
Project management Survey Preparation Communicating with clients Mentoring staff Assistance with business development efforts What we're looking for: Experience in supervision of field crews and office technicians in the process of completing survey projects. 5+ years of experience with surveying and mapping projects. Knowledgeable in preparation of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, design surveys, construction staking, platting, and title commitments. Project management skills for scheduling completion of projects and communicating with clients are preferred. Ability to work as part of a team. Field experience a plus with the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. A successful candidate will be flexible and willing to work on a variety of projects. An active Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper license is required or the ability to obtain a Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper license. A valid Florida driver's license and an excellent driving record are required. Sponsorship not available now or in the future.
