GFY is seeking a Rod person who is interested in being a part of an influential work environment. This position will primarily assist survey crews on a variety of different projects.

Responsibilities:

Standing and walking through woods, swamps, roadways, private property, riverbanks, etc., for various amounts of time while holding or carrying equipment ranging from 10-50 pounds Perform general labor tasks for 2-3-person survey field crews Clears brush with the use of machete, holds rods to measure horizontal and vertical distances and elevations Carry traffic cones for MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) (four cones = 48lbs), carry and set concrete monuments (30-50 lbs.) and iron pins using sledgehammer (4-8lbs) Responsible for maintaining a safe work site environment for all survey crewmembers Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual Responsible to care for and maintain all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issued by the company Out-of-town travel may be required.
