Survey Party Chief

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Party Chief- Survey to lead and oversee land surveying residential construction projects with precision and enthusiasm. Duties Lead survey crews in executing land surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking projects Operate and calibrate advanced surveying equipment such as GPS units, 3D scanners, total stations, and robotic instruments Conduct utility locating to identify underground infrastructure using specialized tools and techniques Collect, analyze, and interpret spatial data using GIS (Geographic Information Systems), AutoCAD, and Trimble software Prepare detailed schematics, drawings, and reports for project documentation Perform field measurements with hand tools and heavy lifting equipment to ensure accurate data collection Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop survey plans utilizing geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and math principles Requirements Proven experience in land surveying with a strong understanding of land boundaries, schematics, and construction layouts Proficiency in using GPS technology, 3D scanners, CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), Revit, MicroStation, Carlson, GIS platforms (ArcGIS), and related drafting tools Solid knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math fundamentals essential for precise measurements and calculations Ability to perform utility locating accurately to prevent underground conflicts during construction projects Familiarity with data analysis skills for interpreting survey results and generating comprehensive reports Experience with data collection techniques in civil engineering or construction environments Excellent hand tool skills for field adjustments and measurements; physically capable of heavy lifting as required Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively Valid GPS certification or relevant licensure preferred; familiarity with schematics and construction plans highly desirable Join our team as a Party Chief- Survey where your expertise will shape the foundation of vital infrastructure projects!
