This fifth-generation company has built the Ryan foundation in the site development, civil, highway industry, mining and asphalt production by exceeding client expectations and providing comprehensive services. This position will be working from our Stuart office. Our corporate headquarter is in Deerfield Beach, FL with satellite offices in Stuart, FL and Miami, FL.
Description:
The Survey Crew Chief is responsible for leading the Survey Crew in day-to-day field and office tasks. This position plays a critical role in the pre-construction, construction and final phases of our projects. You will work closely with Survey Crews, Engineers, and CAD Technicians to ensure that all work is accurate and aligned with project goals.
The position also requires:
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills Ability to work on multiple project teams and crews Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and operating a survey crew in the field on various projects. Laying out horizontal and vertical control on various projects. Keeping equipment and other assets calibrated and in good working order. Being familiar with plans and addenda for projects as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in Surveying and Mapping, in tasks such as Construction Staking, Boundary Surveys, Route Layout Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, and other related work in a similar position Experience leading survey crews in the field Associate's degree or technical certificate in CAD/GIS combined with significant, high-level work experience Bachelor's degree is preferred, with specialized in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Experience with Trimble and similar systems, including GPS/GNSS, Total Stations, Leveling equipment (Automatic, Digital or related) FAA Part 107 sUAS license a plus with drone operation experience a plus Prior experience with FDOT is a plus CST Level 3 or 4 a plus
Schedule :
This is an hourly position with Monday-Friday schedule. Nights and weekends may be required from time to time.
