Senior CAD Technician The role is responsible for preparing CAD drawings for a variety of projects on a fluctuating schedule. Helping to prep field crew data and maintain communication with field crews and project managers. Help maintain accurate records and research as needed. Help run quality assurance on surveys and assist with CAD training or inquiries as necessary. Job duties include but are not limited to : Efficiently plan and prepare CAD drawings using Carlson Survey for a broad range of projects to include: Topographic surveys

surveys Boundary surveys Drainage plans subdivision plats Construction staking surveys As-built surveys Prepare construction staking data for field crews using construction plan sets. Create points, centerlines and profiles for construction staking Process and interpret survey data collected in the field. Perform research and gather data for new and ongoing projects. Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records. Collaborate with project manager and surveyor regarding ongoing and scheduled projects. Interact daily with field crews and provide direction and support for ongoing projects as necessary. Check that basic quality assurance concerns have been addressed and that CAD work has been performed to required standards. Skills required : Proficiency in Carlson Softwar Five to ten years previous CAD land surveyin Experience with AutoCAD Ability to read and interpret construction plans and plats Ability to complete projects independently or with minimal supervision and on schedule Exceptional attention to detail Excellent communication skills and tutoring abilities Solid computations skills Job type : Full-time position with vacation, paid holidays, and overtime availability. starting at $35.00 per hour Job location: Venice, Florida Personal transportation is required. Dress code is casual and laid back with a slightly more formal attire required only for specific occasions with prior announcement. The work environment is an open office environment that has extremely limited contact with the public.
